Meet The Owner

Gillian Redman

Hey Dancer!

I am so excited you are here. Whether you have danced with me sometime in the past 10 years I've been teaching. Or you  have just stepped foot into your "dancer era"; I am so glad you're here!

I opened The Dance Barn to  provide our community with a studio that not only provides quality dance education from loving dance teachers that have professional dance experience. But, furthermore to  provide a positive learning  environment for our dancers to experience the joys that movement can bring to your life, just like it has brought mine.

At The Dance Barn we not only teach you how to move and groove, but we make it our mission to integrate little confidence boosts within every lesson plan.  It's our mission to make you believe in you, because we believe in you, and believe that YOU CAN do anything you set your mind to... even if you have "two left feet".

One of the greatest lessons dance  class has ever taught me was the power of believeing in myself.  It would be my absolute pleasure to dance with you, and help you rediscover how incredibly capable YOU are.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q - Do you offer a trial class?

A - Yes, we offer a free trial class to students. Please give us a call at (509)-910-0034, or email to set up your trial class!

Q- What should I expect to pay for my monthly tuition? Do you offer discounts or scholarships?

A- Our monthly tuition ranges from $50-$60 a month depending on what class you register for. Tuition only pays for your spot in class, not the amount of classes per month. We offer multi-class, family and military discounts. Scholarships are available.

Q- Do you have a competitive team? How can my child join?

A- We do, we offer two kinds of teams; a performing group who get the opportunity to perform all over our community and attend one competition. As well as a competitive team who focuses solely on attending  competitions and conventions.

Auditions will be in July. Sign up today to secure your spot! Email us your interest at director@thedancebarn.co

Q - My child has never danced before. Are they going to be behind?

A - No worries, it is never too late to start! We try to find the best fit class for each student based on age and experience level. If you're not sure where your child would fit in best please schedule a free trial class.

Q - Can parents watch the class?

A - We offer watch weeks every season( spring, summer, fall, winter) so that parents can come into the studio to watch and see what their dancer is learning. During watch week, photos and videos are encouraged, but please ask your teacher first! Parents of Tiny Moovers may stay to support their child's bathroom needs.

Q - Do you do performances or recitals?

A - Yes, we have a Spring recital at the end of the academic year to celebrate our dancers! We also offer  a holiday performance opportunity. If you LOVE to perform and compete please check out our teams! (Recitals and performances have an additional fee.)

If you are looking for dance and performing arts classes, you have come to the right place.  We offer dance lessons in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, acro, musical theater,  little kids dance classes and other dance styles. Located in Ellensburg, our families come from Kittitas, Cle Elum, Roslyn, Ellensburg and Moses Lake.

Dance offers the perfect combo of physical activity with artistic expression. Dancers develop physical skills as well as confidence, teamwork, determination and resiliency. At The Dance Barn we take pride in our dancers leaving class feeling more confident than they were when they walked in. We truly believe dance is for every body!
